RMS are seeking a results-driven Compound Supervisor to lead our automotive logistics client’s automotive compound, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, and top-tier customer service. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead a team, and build strong client relationships to drive growth.

• Location: Killingholme
• Salary: £17.67 per hour
• Working Hours: Annual Hours to be worked 2184 per year equating to a weekly average of 42 hours per week. Monday to Friday: Weekly 2-shift rotation between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. 
• Weekend working: As 7-day operations, weekend coverage is required as part of this contract.  This operates on a rota basis; you will be rota’ d in to work 1 in every 8 weekends.

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving operational efficiently, and ensuring compliance with client standards and SLAs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and cost control, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

Key responsibilities of the role:

Operational & Quality Management:

• Ensure compliance with client standards, SLAs, and quality requirements.
• Drive productivity and cost reduction through continuous improvement.
• Conduct quality audits and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Workforce Planning:

• Lead and motivate the team with a proactive approach.
• Manage staffing levels based on forecasts.
• Identify training needs and ensure workforce competency.

Contract & Client Management:

• Ensure contract compliance and achievement of KPIs.
• Foster strong client relationships and seek growth opportunities.
• Communicate performance updates and improvements.

Health & Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce health & safety policies to prevent accidents.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and investigate incidents.
• Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

The primary function of this role operates outdoors in a large automotive compound facility. Its associated duties are conducted in varying weather conditions throughout the year (PPE is provided to support such tasks). As you will be expected to store and transport vehicles in an outdoor logistics facility which also involves moderate amounts of general walking throughout the working day.

About you?

• Proven experience in operations management within the Automotive, Manufacturing, or Logistics sectors.
• Experience in Lean Management with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent leadership skills, capable of motivating teams and driving high performance.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality management systems.
