The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs, maximising value, and maintaining strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage valuations and payments, ensuring compliance with subcontract agreements.
• Conduct material take-offs and ensure accurate job cost allocation.
• Price contract variations and maintain financial records.
• Oversee subcontractor payments and supply chain liabilities.
• Handle subcontract enquiries, negotiate terms, and issue orders.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with cost forecasting.
• Negotiate and finalise accounts with the main contractor’s QS.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage cost variations.
• Support the Commercial Manager with cost control and reporting.
• Supervise and mentor junior QS staff while managing admin duties.

What We’re Looking For:

• A confident and professional communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Previous experience working for a specialist subcontractor is essential.
• Knowledge of cladding is preferred.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
