At RMS we are proud to have successfully grown year on year since our inception in November 2000.

Over the last 17 years RMS has spread far and wide from its early beginnings in Middlesbrough to where we are today with offices located strategically across the UK.

2000

• RMS begins trading in Middlesbrough and is incorporated in November 2000.
• Family owned business set up by local Darlington businesswoman Carole Martin.
• RMS become members of the REC, CIPD and AAT.
• RMS launch first website and branding material including corporate literature.

2003

• RMS move to Duke Street Office in Darlington due to expansion of the team.
• RMS wins local authority contracts with Darlington, Richmondshire and Middlesbrough Councils.

2004

• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT and Renault at PD Ports in Middlesbrough and opens its 1st on site office.

2005

• RMS wins sole supply contract with German manufacturer Schott Industrial Glass in Newton Aycliffe, supplying them with over 200 production and shop floor workers.

2006

• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT and Renault at PD Ports in Southampton and opens 2nd on site office location.

2007

• RMS wins Groupe CAT supplier of the year award.

2010

• RMS celebrates 10 year anniversary.
• RMS launch new website and re-brand including corporate literature.
• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT at 3 Jaguar Landrover plant locations in Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Gaydon in the Midlands.
• RMS also wins contract with Groupe CAT at 2 BMW plant locations in Thorn and Oxford.

2011

• RMS launch social media pages – LinkedIn and Twitter.

2012

• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT and BMW to work on the London 2012 Olympics.
• RMS employees helped deliver the complete support fleet to the London 2012 Olympics, comprising over 4,000 vehicles. Services included fleet management, de-fleet and re-marketing.
• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT and Volvo at Killingholme and Southampton ports, covering the UK and Ireland handling and deliveries.
• RMS become tier 1 supplier to Automotive company Gestamp Tallent across the UK for permanent and contract professional recruitment.
• RMS begin working with global offshore market leaders Mech-Tool Engineering supplying them with fabrication tradesman.

2013

• RMS wins contract with Groupe CAT and Jaguar Landrover at new Halewood plant in Liverpool.
• RMS in partnership with Groupe CAT wins the Automotive Global Supply Chain and Vehicle Processing Centre Award for the UK centre in Southampton.
• RMS begin working with Tier 1 Automotive supplier Nifco UK for permanent and contract professional recruitment.

2014

• For the second year running, RMS in partnership with Groupe CAT wins the Automotive Global Supply Chain and Vehicle Processing Centre Award for the UK centre in Southampton.
• RMS wins 1 year sole supply contract with NSK Bearings in Peterlee for permanent professional recruitment.
• RMS opens Belgium operation in Ghent.

2015

• RMS renews 1 year sole supply contract with NSK Bearings in Peterlee for permanent professional recruitment.
• RMS in partnership with Groupe CAT win the Automotive Global Supply Chain Award for Logistics Quality, jointly with our customer Jaguar Land Rover, based on the opening of their new Solihull site in the Midlands.

2016

• RMS moves office from Duke Street to new location on Victoria Road in Darlington.
• RMS included in the prestigious Ward Hadaway ‘Fastest 50’ growing North East business list for the first time.
• RMS sign 2 year sole supply contract extension with NSK Bearings in Peterlee for permanent professional recruitment.
• RMS begin working in partnership with Calsonic Kansei for permanent professional recruitment at their Washington and Nissan plants.
• RMS wins contract with Mech-Tool Engineering to supply labour to build offshore accommodation and rig modules for the TCO Tengizchevroil project in Kazakhstan.
• RMS places first female Welder at Mech-Tool Engineering in Darlington.
• RMS become members of the NEAA and NOF Energy groups.
• For the 4th year running, RMS in partnership with Groupe CAT is successful at the Automotive Global Supply Chain Awards, this time winning the award for our Apprenticeship Programme.
• RMS begin working with global Engineering specialists Cleveland Bridge and A&P Group for permanent professional recruitment.

2017

• RMS launch new website and re-brand including corporate literature.
• RMS invests in new RDB database and software.
• For the 2nd year running, RMS included in the prestigious Ward Hadaway ‘Fastest 50’ growing North East business list.
• RMS win ‘Best HR & Recruitment Specialist’ award as voted for by the North East Enterprise for the first time.
• RMS launch first official Golf day at Wynyard Golf Club.
• RMS successfully raise over £20k for PTSD Resolution by taking part in such things as the ‘Wainwrights Coast 2 Coast’ and the ‘Simply Health Great North Run’.
• RMS begin working with Wilton Engineering and Universal Coatings for permanent and contract recruitment.
• RMS begin working with Sulzer for contract recruitment, supplying tradesman across the UK, Europe and UAE.

2018

• RMS sign contract agreement to work with global automotive logistics leader BCA Vechicle Services at their Port of Southampton and Bristol sites.
• RMS begin working with Katmex Ltd for permanent and contract recruitment as their preferred supplier.
• RMS start working with leading automotive tier 1 supplier Unipres UK for professional engineering recruitment in the North East and Midlands.
