The Challenge
To reduce fixed employment costs in order to mirror man hours worked on a project by project basis, maximising profitability whilst retaining the efficiencies and skills of a fully functional workforce.
The Solution
Having worked with this Mech-Tool Engineering for 7 years as their supplier for temporary recruitment solutions we had a firm understanding of their business model, client services, culture and objective.
Following a cost down exercise, our team conducted an in-depth review of the remaining workforce and presented a lean model, which allowed us to combine recruitment with HR in order to continue to attract skills but vary employment costs on a project by project basis.
As the duration of their projects vary between 1 and 4 years, we needed to ensure compliance within employment law, fair treatment and robust management of procedures that complimented our client’s requirements.
We introduced a fully outsourced, onsite HR service that underpinned the entire employment life cycle, controlled by a dedicated member of the RMS trained HR Team.
