Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Shift rotations: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
Salary: £21.07ph (Overtime & Unsociable hours paid at a Increased Rate) 
Type: Temp to Perm

About the Role:
We’re seeking a Shift Manager with operational automotive expertise to oversee all vehicle repair operations within our client’s high-volume Bodyshop. In this role, you’ll lead a skilled team to ensure timely, high-quality repairs in alignment with manufacturer standards, maximising efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Supervise all repair processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate, guide, and oversee the Workshop Team to achieve productivity, Fix Right First Time, and customer satisfaction KPIs. Provide expert advice on repair methods to support consistent high performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track team performance daily, reporting on incidents and providing support and training to maintain top-quality output.
  • Effective Decision-Making: Apply commercial insight in day-to-day decisions to meet both company goals and customer expectations.
  • Resource Utilisation: Assist the Workshop Manager in optimizing staff allocation and workflow to enhance efficiency.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure all team members follow protocols, prioritising accident prevention.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee accurate completion and management of job cards, repair methods, parts queries, and general team welfare.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume automotive bodyshop or workshop.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with expertise in team management, workflow planning, and problem-solving.
  • Full UK Driving License (No DR offences and fewer than 6 penalty points).
  • Strong, hands-on team leader with initiative and a commitment to quality.
  • Skilled communicator with a proactive approach to team motivation and performance.
