• Location: Chilton
• Position: MIG Wilder
• Working Hours: Monday-Friday – 2x shift rotation 6am-2.30pm / 2.30pm-11pm
• Salary: £16.80 per hour

Are you seeking a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced metal fabrication environment? Our client is recruiting MIG Welders to produce high-quality metal fabrications for a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, including: Aluminium (1mm – 10mm thickness) / Stainless steel (1mm – 3mm thickness) / Mild steel (1mm – 20mm thickness)
• Read and interpret engineering drawings independently.
• Work on a range of jobs involving different material types and thicknesses on a day-to-day basis.
• Accurately interpret weld symbols as indicated on drawings.
• Carry out welding tasks both freehand and using jigs and fixtures.
• Keep accurate records of work performed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.

About you?

• A minimum of 24 months’ MIG welding experience in a sheet metal or similar environment.
• Ability to confidently read and understand engineering drawings and weld symbols without assistance.
• Experience working with varying material types and thicknesses.
• Competence in performing high-quality welds freehand as well as when using jigs and fixtures.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
