Role Overview
They are seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to deliver high-quality engineering support, ensuring that plant and machinery are operational and meet production requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with production leadership to prioritise operational support.
- Provide expert assistance after major safety or quality incidents.
- Offer technical guidance and training to Setter Operators, Trainers, and Maintenance Technicians.
- Handle complex breakdown repairs, including low-voltage electrical issues. This includes Analyse and repair equipment after safety or quality issues, conducting follow-up actions post-servicing, repairs, and maintenance and maintaining accurate machine history records.
- Implement solutions to address “Red Tag” quality concerns.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product samples.
- Support unit repairs and tooling refurbishment and Instillation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Develop SOPs for technical tasks.
- Request standard spare parts and tooling as needed.
- Promote and follow safety protocols to employees and Contractors.
About You:
- It would be Ideal if you hold a BTEC HNC in Engineering.
- Must hold a recognised apprenticeship (Multi-Skilled, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- Must be proficient in MS Office Packages
- Must have a minimum of three years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise in the following would be Ideal:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Skilled in fault-finding and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with machinery and automation.
- Familiarity with Total Quality Systems (TS16949) and PLC systems.
