RMS are excited to be recruiting for a Quality Manager for a fantastic Fabrication client based in Brompton-on-Swale. The company specialises in the design, manufacturing, and installation of steel structures for a variety of industries, including construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects. They are known for delivering high-quality, custom steelwork and has experience in handling complex and large-scale projects across the UK.

About the Role:

Working as a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities within the business. Including all fabrication and erection activities both in a production and erection environment. Ensuring all auditing and compliance across all disciplines in the business

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining all quality systems within the business.
  • Ensuring that all quality objectives are carried out in line with the British standards and contract specifications.
  • Control and manage all fabrication activities within Factory production Control (FPC) ukca Marking.
  • Produce and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for all contract requirements.
  • Administrate and audit all fabrication, welding and painting activities in line with BSEN 1090, 3834. And the National Steelwork Specification 7th edition (NSSS 7th)
  • Acting as management representation for all company standards and certifications.
  • Preparing and undertaking management reviews for 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • Auditing safe systems of work.
  • Ensuring that all employees promote a culture for SHEQ within the business

About You:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a structural Steel Fabrication Background
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in a Quality Related Role.
  • The Ideal candidate will be certified to Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator (RWC)
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to coach and influence individuals to improve performance.
  • The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and presenter.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to offer a hands-on and practical approach.
